Mimu Crafts was founded by three young Asians living and working in London. With roots in China and Japan, we share a long-standing love for objects, craftsmanship, and their role in everyday life. Living in a multicultural city has shaped the way we see and value things. We are constantly searching for objects that can represent Asian culture in a way that feels honest, contemporary, and at home in a global context.

 

Our backgrounds are diverse, spanning the arts, bodywork and cultural work. These different experiences influence how we approach curation, encouraging us to look beyond surface aesthetics and consider how objects are used, felt, and lived with. We value balance, material quality, and the quiet presence that well-made objects bring into a space.

 

For many years, we have been collecting items from different regions, ranging from vintage and mid-century objects to works by contemporary artisans and practitioners of traditional crafts.
